Help Me Choose My New Glasses

I have been wearing glasses since 7th grade. I remember my first ever pair of glasses, there were these big chunky brown old person’s glasses that I was embarrassed to wear. I kept getting new glasses every year, and they were always goofy and awkward until I went to high school and I had these thin wire frame glasses for such a long time. Fast forward a few years later and I keep thinking to myself that I need some new hip modern looking glasses, and that is when I found Warby Parker plus you cannot beat the price; $95 dollars for a pair of stylish specs, plus they donate a pair and funds to those in need of glasses. So really, I buy a pair of awesome looking glasses and I help out a needy cause. It’s a win-win, folks 1.

Thompson glasses

This is me wearing the Thompson

The pair that I got from Warby Parker was the Thompson in whiskey tortoise. I love them and because I love them so much I thought to myself “Hey, get yourself another pair so that you have a choice to wear” so that is where I need your help. Warby Parker has this great program in which you select five pairs of glasses in your choice of colors and they send them to you for five days to try on. It’s what I did and I took some pictures of myself wearing the five potential pairs and you can help me choose which ones I should get.

Fillmore

So I like the color in these, but I do not know how I feel about the shape. Also, I am in desperate need of a haircut.

Huxley

Again, love the color and I wish these had the little metal side things that the Fillmore has on the frame. As you can tell, I want a light brown pair of glasses.

Pierce

I look ridiculously stupid in this picture wearing the Pierce. Why did I decide to cross my arms? Also, weird smile.

Roosevelt

The Roosevelt are probably my favorite pair. In my opinion these should also come as sunglasses then I’d buy two pair! I really like how boxy they are.

Miles

Besides the Roosevelt I really like the Miles. This is me with my pipe buddy, Sir Alastair Cumberbatch IV. Yes, the pipe has a name. Shut up. I like how it has a slight curve to them, but still look fairly geeky and smart, which is the look that I am trying to go forth.

So there you have it. Those are the five glasses that I picked out for the home try on. So you know which two I like, what about you? Which ones do you guys like? Comment, tweet me or send me a comment on Facebook to let me know which you like or if you think I should stick with the Thompson–which is what my parents both agreed on.

Check out Warby Parker. I recommend them to everyone that I know who wants to buy a pair of affordable and quality made glasses. Their customer service is excellent and they are really fast at shipping your glasses to you.

Notes:

  1. Full disclosure, I am in no way shape or form associated with Warby Parker. I did this post out of customer loyalty and I am not being compensated in any form for this blog post. I really do believe in the company and just how great they are with their customers. Please do consider them the next time you want to order a pair of glasses. Who doesn’t want to order stuff from a company that makes monocles. MONOCLES! I just might scrap this entire getting a second pair of glasses and just get myself a monocle.

I like the Roosevelt and the Miles best. I feel like the Miles might be more “trendy”, so just a matter of if you want them for a long time or not. Love new glasses!
