Its a fact of my life that I am miserable throughout the entire month of March. As soon as the calendar hits March 1st, I start feeling sneezy, my throat starts to feel swollen and itchy, and I just want to rip out my eyes from the constant itching. Let’s not forget that March is the month in which I get the most nosebleeds because of said sneezing and constantly blowing my nose. My best friends in the month of March are Zyrtec, Visine and a box of Puffs.

For the most part, Zyrtec works pretty well for an over the counter. What worked the best was Allegra and I am so stoked that it is available in prescription strength over the counter now! I just have to finish this bottle of Zyrtec before going and purchasing the Allegra. I am counting down the days until mid-April arrives because by then my allergies are usually under control and my body is used to them and I don’t suffer enough from itchy watery eyes, dramatic sneezes, and insufferable itchy-sore throat.
I think my issue is the oak trees that are everywhere: my apartment complex is surrounded by them (I usually park underneath one at work), and the walk from the parking garage to my office building at USFSP is lined with oak trees. Oak trees everywhere! Just thinking about it makes me want to sneeze.

The evilest creature known to man.

Sooo I have the same problem. I went to college in Boston which has apparently like the worst mix of pollen ever for someone like me because I had 22 sinus infections in college AND I GRADUATED IN 3 YEARS. But, if you are looking to save $$, there is a generic Zyrtec at Costco. $5.99 for 200 pills, and it works just as well. It’s great for us since fiance and I both have bad allergies and we would probably have to promise someone our unborn child to pay for meds otherwise.
A co-worker just told me about this! I need to find a friend who has a Costco card so that I can horde Zyrtec.
