In episode 9 of The Wire, the Westside and Eastside of the Baltimore ghettos are having their annual basketball game in which the loser has to throw a party for the opposing crew. Proposition Joe is the Eastside drug kingpin and gets made fun of by the Westside kingpin Avon Barksdale for dressing up in a suit in the summer when its 80* F outside asking him if he is pretending to be Pat Riley.
Proposition Joe simply answers with a simply amazing quote: Look the part, be the part, motherfucker.
Simply amazing and true.
Its my new outlook on life. From now on I will start dressing for the part I want to be in order to eventually become it.
Which reminds me, everyone should watch The Wire to get valuable life lessons.
